Artist based on the prairies of North Dakota
Art is the only thing I have ever really wanted to do. Being an artist has been my dream from the very beginning. I have never wanted to get rich from my artwork. Instead, I want to be able to make enough to be able to give it away. I believe art brings people together. It heals, it brightens the world. Case Art isn't just another art store, it is my way of helping others through art.
Was $175.00, now $75.00
This piece was started plein aire, in a little old cemetery, tucked in the trees along a gravel road. The oldest stone dates back to the 1880's. The names on these stones were the first settles here in this area. They started an apple orchard that is still in operation to this day. The current owners are friends of mine, the great great grandson to the man who's name is on the prominent stone in the middle. History is great in this area and ties that bind run deeper than blood.
It is a setting the calls to me every time. To sit and paint its monuments to those who rest here, to let the apple blossom scented air caress my cheeks and lift my spirit.
Resting Place is 12 x 9 inches on stretched canvas. It is gallery wrapped, wired and ready to hang. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. Started in Michigan and finished in my North Dakota studio.
No matter where life takes me, I vow to never stop using my art to help others. The talents we are given are meant to be cultivated and to be used to improve the lives of our fellow humans. It is a greater gift to give of these talents than it is to use them simply for personal gain.
