Artist based on the prairies of North Dakota
Art is the only thing I have ever really wanted to do. Being an artist has been my dream from the very beginning. I have never wanted to get rich from my artwork. Instead, I want to be able to make enough to be able to give it away. I believe art brings people together. It heals, it brightens the world. Case Art isn't just another art store, it is my way of helping others through art.
Wildlife is one of my favorite things to draw and paint. The grizzly bear is a subject I have come to many times. My uncle has told me many stories from his guiding days in the Yellowstone wilderness and WY Rookies. They have always fascinated me and terrified me at the same time. Grizzlies are driven by their belly's. They live to eat and get very grouchy when you interrupt their eating. Although this one I drew is just curious and coming in for a closer look.
The Grizzly is 6 x 9 inches on 80 lb, Blick drawing paper. It was draw using Pigma Micron pens in brown and black. Pigma inks are archival, waterproof and fade proof. It is signed on the front and signed/dated on the back.
No matter where life takes me, I vow to never stop using my art to help others. The talents we are given are meant to be cultivated and to be used to improve the lives of our fellow humans. It is a greater gift to give of these talents than it is to use them simply for personal gain.
