Artist based on the prairies of North Dakota
Art is the only thing I have ever really wanted to do. Being an artist has been my dream from the very beginning. I have never wanted to get rich from my artwork. Instead, I want to be able to make enough to be able to give it away. I believe art brings people together. It heals, it brightens the world. Case Art isn't just another art store, it is my way of helping others through art.
While looking through photos on Google + one day, I came across an image that instantly captivated me. The colors, yellows and grays, reached out to me begging to be painted. I sent a message to the individual that had taken the photo, asking permission to paint his image. He agreed with enthusiasm. I painted the sky first, it was a battle, maybe I had chosen something beyond my ability? I left it sit in the corner for 7 months, unsure if it would every be finished. Then one day a few weeks ago, with a new state of thinking, I pulled it back out and finished it. I am immensely proud of this piece and of myself for having the Strength to Persevere.

No matter where life takes me, I vow to never stop using my art to help others. The talents we are given are meant to be cultivated and to be used to improve the lives of our fellow humans. It is a greater gift to give of these talents than it is to use them simply for personal gain.
