Artist based on the prairies of North Dakota
Art is the only thing I have ever really wanted to do. Being an artist has been my dream from the very beginning. I have never wanted to get rich from my artwork. Instead, I want to be able to make enough to be able to give it away. I believe art brings people together. It heals, it brightens the world. Case Art isn't just another art store, it is my way of helping others through art.
While fixing fence I injured the thumb on my right hand. Nothing drastic, but yet painful. This morning when I tried painting I could barely hold my brush. Discouraged yet not defeated. I reverted to painting left handed. A skill I acquired after 4 surgeries on my right shoulder. Going a minimum of 8 weeks per surgery without painting just wasn't an option. So I forced myself to do something I was certain I couldn't do. While my left hand is wildly different than my right. With a personality all of its own. And I am by no means good at non-dominate side painting. The absolute joy of painting remains the same.
Every day we are faced with unique challenges. But do not let these challenges defeat you. Instead do everything within your power to overcome them.
Colors of the Morning is 12 x 16 inches on stretched canvas. It is signed on the front and signed/dated on the back. It is wired and ready to hang. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
No matter where life takes me, I vow to never stop using my art to help others. The talents we are given are meant to be cultivated and to be used to improve the lives of our fellow humans. It is a greater gift to give of these talents than it is to use them simply for personal gain.
